The ABI stainless steel PM servomotors are high quality products. Suitable for the most extreme conditions in, for example, the food processing industry. The motors are characterized by a very smooth appearance, which leaves no areas where germs or dirt can collect. The RVS316L (1.4404) permanent magnet SMRS series fully comply with the extremely strict EHEDG standardization.

A specially designed seal system around the stainless steel output shaft provides an IP69K enclosure, ensuring a long life. Only FDA approved materials and lubricants are used.

Various possibilities are available for the feedback. The standard options are: a resolver, single- or multiturn Hiperface® 128 pulse SinCos encoders.

The stainless steel servo motor series SMRS can also be equipped with a hybrid cable, better known as the One-Cable-Technology. The motor phases and the feedback signals are connected to the servo control through 1 cable. This saves on installation costs and reduces the risk of building up of dirt in the machine.

Holding brake

The SMRS servomotors can optionally be equipped with an integrated 24Vdc holding brake, with a holding torque of 9 - 20Nm. Because of the IP69K protection class of the servomotor, the holding brake is also fully protected against the extreme environmental conditions.

Fields of application

The stainless steel servo motor series SMRS are applicable for high dynamic applications, in the most extreme conditions of the food industry. Positioning, synchronizing and a concentricity with accurate (digital) torque adjustment are all possible. The motors can be combined with stainless steel planetary gears and, for example, also applicable in robotics. Examples are the meat, fish and vegetable processing, pharmaceutical industry etc.
