New design ABI stainless steel worm gearbox WRS(H)3xx

To continue meet the ever increasing demands and quality standards, ABI has further developed its stainless steel worm gearbox, type 3. The new design is available right now.

Because of the introduction of the new designed worm gearbox, the old design will be phased out on short term. The worm gearboxes meet all the goals that were set for the new design:

• The same compact size, ensuring it will fit in the same situations as its predecessor
• Considerably higher torque levels (>50%) both continuously as well as peak torque
• High quality worm sets, new geometrics as well as a hardened and ground worm
• Lower surface temperatures
• Further optimization to guarantee IP69k even in the harshest environments and situations

To be able to meet all the goals named above, the worm gearbox has been changed slightly in dimensions. The Mounting sizes have remained identical, and the few dimensions that were changed can be found in the drawing below.
Attention: Besides small dimensional changes, the available ratios have also been changed.
