Semi-conductor industry

The semi-conductor industry is a very high-tech industry. Apart from the well-known micro chip production (wafer steppers), this industry is also characterized by a strong demand for micro chip assembly machines (trimming, forming and molding).

For years, ABI has been supplying the LTI Motion servo systems for these machines. In this area, the focus is mainly on excellent servo control characteristics, which translates into high motion dynamics. Apart from this focus, the engineers constructing these complex machines have formulated some very specific demands; these demands require specific features, which cannot be met by most average servo controller manufacturers.

The cooperation between ABI and LTI Motion has been in place for several decades and many of ABI’s customers benefit from this tight cooperative relationship between both firms. Due to the very short communication lines with the manufacturer, customer requirements and demands can often be integrated directly into the product design.
