Entrance technology

Every day, millions of people pass through an automatic revolving door. There are however not many people who realize the amount of technology hidden in these door systems. They don’t need to, because the drives in these doors do their jobs soundlessly, intelligently and reliably.

ABI has been participating in the development of specialist drives for this type of entrance technology for years. Nothing in this application is standard, everything has been designed and constructed especially for this application, from motor to intelligent amplifier. The door drive ‘feels’ someone wanting to pass through and automatically takes over part of the pushing force. The drive also corrects in case of vandalism or ‘abnormal usage’ and the door will always stop in a closed position. Furthermore, the door has ‘adaptive characteristics’, so complicated adjustment procedures will be no longer necessary.
